I ran my first 1/2 Marathon yesterday! It was a personal goal and now I'm addicted. It was all worth it (even my sore legs today!) and my next goal: the full marathon in San Diego in June! Thanks to everyone who supported me through this. I finished 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 11 minutes! Woo hoo!
I've gone through many running partners, but these girls were with me in the end! Here we are picking up our race packets on Saturday. (yes I wore sweats that day. Well not technically-My VS boyfriend pants, which I think are acceptable going-out attire.)
My wonderful family AFTER I finished. They are the best. It meant so much to have them there. And I have another picture with one of the greatest friends in the whole world. I have to get it from Audrey and then I'll post it!
(oh- are you wondering about the poster? My reward for finishing- never stopping or walking and reaching my time goal- which i exceeded by almost 20 minutes- was this adorable Nordy's handbag. The girls took me to get it immediately following. Too bad it had to be specially ordered, I'll post when I get it!)
