A Heartbroken Girl

Yes, I should be in New York City. I should not be blogging. But our flight was overbooked. Our hopes were squashed. Ya know, like a bug on the ground. I am ONE SAD GIRL. I seriously in the back of my head thought someone would pick me off of the streets and offer me one smoking PR deal and I would move there. Just like that. And I'd come home for the wedding, grab some clothes and begin my life as a New Yorker. Well, there are other plans for me this summer that don't involve the East Coast.

But I have the best friends who tried to lift my spirits.

Instead on New York, I got to go to the next best thing... the Bass Pro Shop in Mesa, Arizona. And if anyone really knows me- you'd realize this was quite an experience. I've NEVER been. It reminded me of...California Adventure. Well, without the rides and Mickey paraphranalia. I decided that if I were to be in NYC I'd be eating crap and taking pictures- so that's exactly what I did! With Priscilla! Tyra and I might go away this weekend, but plans are still up in the air. AND- the NYC trip is re-booked for Fall Break.

This truly was an experience. Poor Askins' girls. We never go to stuff like this. We are not real campers. Priscilla even told me there were animals inside. Yeah- they were all stuffed! I kinda felt like I went camping/hunting/fishing for an hour!

Don't let this face fool you! She looks like a total pris- but she can keep up with the outdoor world with the best of them. The best was she looked for some hunting videos for her dad for Father's Day. They have an Elk one and labeled it "a comedy." Really?

This would scare any animal into submission! Maybe I'll get it for the next time I have parking lot duty at school!

After my shopping experience...I posed outside. Pretended I was next to some really cool street performers in NYC.

Okay, walking around they have these statues. They about freaked me out. Apparently people buy these outfits too! Should I be concerned at the injustice I experienced in my family?

Bass Pro Shop and NYC equal complete and total opposites. Sorry your plans were dashed.

Stupid airlines. Stupid gas prices.

I am sorry for you my friend.. (Say it like dad) I am surprised I didn't see any tears though. Way to be tough. Ah, who needs New York anyway? Now we can lay out this weekend and what not! Storage unit clean out?
