I would STILL be in New York. So I decided to live my life like I'm on vacation until WEDNESDAY. I have to admit, I'm having a great weekend and done some things I definitely had not planned on.
The girls that I was going to travel with- Tyra and Chantel, decided to take a day away and shop in Scottsdale. We found a Scottsdale cafe that we thought would be comparable to Cafe Lalo (one that we were going to eat at in NYC) so we went there for lunch. We told everyone at Scottsdale Fashion Mall that we were on vacation. When they asked from where, we responded, "New York!" We also wanted to treat ourselves to a yummy place for dessert. So we tried SPRINKLES. It was absolutely wonderful. Go and treat yourself!!
I also had the opportunity to spend the weekend with the Gonzalez family. (I was their nanny for about four years back in the day.) If you remember my old days, you'll remember the birthday extravaganza stories. So- I went all day yesterday to help set up (although I hung out with the kids more than help!) and then today was the big day. I miss their family so much. Even though the kids are older- somethings will NEVER change. I can't wait to go back and see them after the summer is over!

Sprinkles was SUPER good. I bet you're surprised. The surprising thing is that I couldn't decide on a cupcake so I got three to sample. (okay, I guess that isn't shocking that I couldn't make up my mind!)

And to make myself feel better I included this picture of James Marsden. His face would make any sad face turn happy. He is so cute. I would totally marry him. He's my all-time favorite actor. I like all of his movies!

I'm glad you made your sad weekend into such a happy one. Missed you at Cole's blessing. It was a lot of fun. Hope to see you soon. Come to Douglas sometime if you have time. It would be fun to hang out.
KATE ASKINS!!! OMG! I was totally thinking about you a few days ago wondering how you are doing!!! Everytime I pass that Church on McQueen that isn't our church I think of you because your family's house is back there! lol! I remember that you were the very last person I visit taught right before I got married. I always liked you!!! I'm so glad I found you! let's catch up! (after you get back from vacay of course. LOVE the pics...especially our most favorite actor...lol!)

Kate, It sounds like made the best of the situation. Looks like lots of fun. Next time you plan on heading to New York, please give us a call. We're about 2 hours away. It would be great to see you.

My schedule is pretty simple. I keep myself busy at home - especially since it's a gazillion degrees outside and I much rather stay at home. lol! let me know how your days look and we can do a lunch or snack or something. hahaha we can get sprinkles!!! lol!
yeah well i did a blog because allie was begging for one. but now that it is summer i think i'm going to update it! i have secretly been looking at your, audrey's, allie's, etc. blogs for like months. it's fun to see what you are doing! i can't wait to see you either. only one more month. that's crazzzy! i love you girl.
