Those kids don't know how lucky they are to have my sister for their teacher! She truly loves what she does and cares for each student. And her room is adorable this year. Take a peek...
She has this cute name plate above her door. Someone made it for her. Super cute. And it matches her color scheme for the year- red, white and black with polka dots!
This bulletin board was my favorite. She had her class last year write letters to the new class on things to look forward to in 4th grade and things they would do in the classroom. I learned things about Audrey that I didn't know. And I read things that I didn't know she let her kids know!
My favorites:
*The warned the newbies to watch out for personal sharpeners. Miss Askins HATES them! (Apparently the shavings drive Audrey "bonkers" and so she throws them away.)
*They warned that "if you are expecting Miss Askins to be a good artist...think again." (that was a direct quote.)
*She likes Zac Efron, starbursts and Diet Dr. Pepper. (each student mentioned this.)

I think my mom and I would be her star pupils. We left post-it notes in hidden places for her to find. "Case A Sibe."
And... What is this you might be asking????
Well yesterday I was running my happy little behind off at the gym. I was in mid-run on the treadmill when this older gentleman came up and gave me this piece of candy. Odd timing? Yes! Candy? Yes! I smiled, said thank you and continued to run. Like I'm going to stop running and pop this thing in my mouth! He turned around and yelled from across the room "You BETTER eat that!" I hope he doesn't find this blog because he will clearly see that I didn't eat it. I threw it away. He could have poisoned it. And my mom taught me to not accept candy from strangers. As I've gotten older, I've learned to be gracious, just not eat it!
